Press Application

Thank you for your interest in the DTLR Summer Block Party, taking place July 3oth in Washington, DC & August 20th in Charlotte, NC.  To apply for a MEDIA or PHOTO wristband, please read the guidelines below and fill out the Official Application Form.

Please remember this is only a request, and it may not be approved.

Applications are one (1) per person. Each person from your outlet must fill out their own application. APPLICATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED BY July 18th. We cannot review or consider applications received after this date. You will be notified of your application status by July 22nd. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

In order to be considered for MEDIA or PHOTO credentials, you MUST BE ON ASSIGNMENT with coverage secured. Every assignment will be verified with an editor. Please note: The MEDIA wristband offers access into the block party and into the Press area. The PHOTO wristband offers access into the block party and the photo pit at the combined discretion of DTLR. If you are granted a PHOTO wristband, you do not need a MEDIA wristband.

PRINT AND ONLINE MEDIA BLOGS/ONLINE: Please help us by providing detailed information about your website and your coverage plans.

PRINT MEDIA AND FREELANCE: All attending media MUST be on assignment with coverage secured. We will be contacting your editor to confirm your assignment upon submitting your application.

PHOTOGRAPHERS ON ASSIGNMENT: Photo passes are very limited. Any photographer wishing to apply for a PHOTO wristband must be on an editorial assignment. We will only credential photographers with SLR, detachable lens cameras. Point-and-shoot cameras will not be permitted in the photo pits, a policy enforced by security.

RADIO/COLLEGE PAPER PHOTOGRAPHERS: Photo wristbands for radio and college photographers are limited. Recording of performances is prohibited.

PORTFOLIO WORK: Requests for credentials for personal portfolios will not be approved. We are only able to consider photographers who are on confirmed editorial assignments.

SOCIAL MEDIA: Requests for credentials for social media will not be approved. We are only able to consider applicants who are on confirmed editorial assignments.

RADIO RADIO STATIONS: Please be as specific as possible about your coverage plans, and any on-site broadcasting you wish to do.

FILMING IS NOT ALLOWED without direct pre-approval from the DTLR Marketing team prior to the block party. Of those approved, video camera use is restricted to the Press area and on-site with an escort from DTLR. You will be required to request escort time in advance of the block. Filming of performances is prohibited without the express written permission of DTLR.

Please be sure to take your time and fill out all required fields below. Your application will not submit without filling out all required fields. Applications with incomplete or insufficient information will be declined. Please understand with the amount of requests we receive, it is simply impossible to approve all requests. All applicants will be contacted about the status of their application by July 22nd.

REMINDER: Each applicant should fill out their own application and the name on the application should be of the person who intends to attend the block party.
